About Us – EZeLilly

EZeLilly began with Lilly - the little girl who inspires our green living. But it is not just about her. It is about all our children, and our children's children. It is about the small actions that we can take every day to make sure we leave our planet in better hands – and that future generations have a thriving planet to inherit. Our philosophy is summed up in our brand: E for eco, Ze for zero waste, and Lilly, our daughter, who stands in for all Earth's children and whose very existence inspired the creation of this family business.

The company name is Lilly's Green Swaps E-Commerce, we are a Canadian company located in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Who We Are

I am a mom. Just like so many other moms that chose to stay at home with their baby, I was struggling to find a way that I can contribute to the family while spending time with my daughter in her precious early years. With the limited resource and the certainty that I will go back to my career one day when she reaches her preschool age, I chose Fulfillment by Amazon business model with reusable items niche.  I started this 100% women-owned company so I would be able to guide her in green living, and raise a responsible and eco-friendly citizen for the future. By example, I hope to lead her down the right path.

My husband, daughter and I are just an everyday family, trying to make more ethical and sustainable decisions in our lives. We are not perfect. We made mistake. We had bad choices from time to time. But we do understand that the smallest of actions we take today will have a profound effect on all our futures, that progress is more important than perfection. We are just ordinary individuals, but we hope and believe that individuals' mind set can make a big difference. Through sharing our own journey, through our pre-owned online marketplace and green product store, we hope to inspire others to begin their own journeys towards a greener way of life in the area that they could.  

Our Values

Lilly loves beaches. Plastic waste is littering our oceans and threatening the lives of millions of marine animals. Many beautiful beaches are closed to tourists due to the ocean pollution. This shows how poorly we are leaving the planet for our next generation. The time to act is now and the future is in our hands. We believe that as individuals, we have the power to generate amazing change if we stand together – one small step at a time, we can all take actions to make the world a better place by removing our support for damaging systems, reducing our consumption and our waste and caring more for people and our planet.

Our Mission

As a family, our main mission is to live as eco-friendly as possible – moving towards a zero-waste lifestyle by refusing, reducing, reusing, repairing and recycling. Some areas we are doing very good, some areas we still need to work on, but you already get the point, to go green, and to start young. Through the EZeLilly brand, we hope to share our journey, and inspire and help others to do the same.

What is FBA and Why Amazon?

Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) is a service provided by Amazon that provides storage, packaging, and shipping assistance to sellers. Although we don't 100% agree with Amazon on eco-friendly mission, it's a practical business model for our family to reach our customers and to introduce the idea to the general public. We don't have the resource to go all in and open up a store, selling hundreds of different items. We chose to build our brand and listings on Amazon instead. In this e-commerce world, shipping individual orders to our customers from our website, verse sending the inventory to Amazon warehouse so that they will ship to our customers is not much different. We are still a small business selling on their platform. 

Transparency Policy

At this stage, our products are still mostly imported, responsibly made for us in VietNam and China and we are very transparent about where the products are made on all of our packagings, and all of our listings. It does not mean that they are cheaply made. We take pride in the product quality that we customized and make sure our manufactures have the same value as we do. We're paying carbon offset as a business owner and bringing reasonable price products so that most families could afford, also hoping to source our future products more locally, whenever possible. 

Rest assure that we always have the transparency policy in place, even though most of our target customers will not support imported products. And I agree that please do support local as much as you can. But we are still not like so many other stores that surely imported the products but did not state anything about it and misleading their customers that the products are locally made.

EZeLilly offers a range of eco-friendly products that can help families like ours make the switch away from harmful and polluting products. We source quality items that we trust to use in our home, and we introduce them to others looking to take their own steps to reduce their carbon footprints and their waste. 

Lilly's Green Swap Journey

It's not all about selling! We're also aiming to share our own experiences in going greener so other families can follow suit. It will be a long journey for us to adapt this lifestyle. We're still learning but our goal is to raise a greener citizen, and it's time to start when she's young. You can learn all about eco-friendly and zero waste living through our experiences shared on our blog.

EZeLilly YouTube Channel

We are also building awareness and trying to foster green citizens for the future through our cartoon series about environmental problems and simple actions for green living – aimed at kids aged 3-8 years old. Our channel is EZeLilly TV. We fund this channel ourselves, and for every EZeLilly product sold, $1 will be channelled to this fund to make more educational, fun videos for kids.

1% For the Planet

EZeLilly brand is also a member of “1% for the planet” organization, we commit to donate 1% of our gross sales from the brand each year back to the environment – whether or not we are profitable. We truly believe in their mission that because “companies profit from the resources they take from the earth, they should protect those resources”.
