People see Valentine as a festival of Love, so we would like to put the weekly challenge tonight just to remind everyone the most important kind of love that you wanna have: Self-love! In the world of billions, there is only ONE you. Why can we not treat ourselves as a precious commodity? It does not mean being selfish.
People who have more self-love are mindful of who they are and act on this knowledge, rather than on what others want for them. When you love yourself, you will work towards taking better care of your needs, your health and your beauty naturally, you will nourish yourself daily through healthy activities, exercise, proper sleep, healthy social interactions. Those people generate so much positive vibes that attract the right people into their life.
Love yourself also means you don’t doubt your own potential, you will believe in yourself and act on what you need rather than what you want, so that you can turn away from something that feels good and exciting to what you really need to stay strong, centered, and moving forward in your life, working towards your goals and most likely will always find success at the end of the tunnel.
Ok, but you may ask what does Self-love do with sustainable ways of living, I thought these challenges are all about that?
Right, and it's really relevant. The link between a poor interpersonal life and materialism has been known for decades. Insecurity in yourself and your relationships make you want to buy more things. When you love yourself and see your true value, you will most likely not become a material person. You don't have the need for those luxury stuff to see yourself valuable. And it has a huge impact on sustainable living.
